Not realistic at all imo. You'd need both Muzzin and Murray to miss an entire year, and you have no room for one injury callup. If anyone at all (Bunting, Samsonov) wants a better contract, you're screwed. If Meier decides he wants his QO, you're super screwed. The Leafs do not have the means to keep Meier should they acquire him.

So did you miss the part of the title where it says "best case scenario" or?? That's the entire point of this is that those guys do accept those contracts. No agent would let their client take 1x10 over 8x8.5, Meier isn't taking his QO and his reported extension is between 8 and 9mil. Muzzin's career is basically over, he's like Shea Weber now in terms of contract, and Murray could just be traded its to the same effect

I've seen the asking price as a first and an A tier prospect, or a first and two B tier prospects. I might have read it wrong though, but I see Robertson and Hirvonen as higher end B tier prospects

The ask is confusing, but I would just imagine you need to beat a first and Holtz, and this doesnt do that

Robertson is an injured bust who other then one 2 G game on HNIC is not worth anywhere close to a 1st

As I've said already, the point here isn't to have an offer that beats out all theoretical offers, it's just to be in line with the reported asking price. It's a best case scenario for a reason
