Rules of This Thread
1. No commentary or carrying out of arguments are to occur in this thread. If you decide to carry on an argument with someone in this thread, that's an automatic
Level 2 infraction. Do not escalate the situation.
2. The only thing to be posted on this thread besides the outlined rules below are the posted infractions themselves. For example, it will be posted that "Member X has been given a Level 1 infraction". This will be how we will keep track of infractions.
New Trolling Zero Tolerance Policy
Attention GM's
There has been an increased amount of trolling and otherwise inappropriate commenting taking place recently.
The goal of our game is to foster an inclusive community, where all members are able to participate equally in a respectful environment.
Negotiation and debates over players and values of assets are to be expected, as are differences of opinion.
You are expected to be able to participate in discussions without denigrating other GM's.
Communication is a necessary component of the game and of being a GM.
Attacks on other GM's, spam posting, and outright arguments with other members, have a negative impact on our abilities to communicate effectively with each other and will not be tolerated.
If there is an issue, address the issue, not the other parties involved.
If there is an issue which cannot be addressed in a rational manner by the parties involved, notify the BOG.

After you have notified or reported an issue, do not continue to participate. Wait for appropriate action to be taken and do not involve yourself any further. We would prefer all of our GM's to stay in permanent control of their team and promote stability for the game, but if you are banned, or otherwise found unable to fully manage your team for an extended period of time, you will be replaced.
Stop and think before you post. Show respect for other members. Keep everything friendly and hockey related.

GM Game Infraction Procedure and System
The GM Game will have a Zero Tolerance Policy for the following misconducts:
1.) Blatant Trolling of another GM's team, image, comments, etc.
2.) Harassment direct towards another GM with the intent to be hurtful; Example: "you're retaard for making that trade. literally don't understand if you watch hockey or watch a pond and call it the same thing."
If any GM brings a quote(s) to the "GM Game Infraction Reporting thread" (
https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/67864) which provides sufficient evidence of either blatant trolling or harassment, the BOG will conduct a Hearing that will involve nobody other than the individual(s) that were involved with the notification of the BOG regarding the breaking of the Zero Tolerance Policy.
The Hearing
After the BOG is notified of a potential Zero Tolerance Policy breach, they will conduct a private thread which is to only be viewed by the BOG and the individual(s) involved. The individual(s) involved are to not say anything unless spoken to by the BOG
directly. The BOG will ask for both sides of the story and any other evidence that supports the claims that you are making.
One Phone Call
Each individual(s) will have the opportunity to "phone" another GM to speak on their behalf. That GM will then have one comment to post in the BOG with anything they want to say in support of their "caller". There will be no editing of the post, as all posts are final. The BOG will then examine all of the facts presented by the individual(s) and the GM who speaks on their behalf. In order to keep things going swiftly and orderly, the individual(s) will have a maximum of 15 minutes to notify a GM that they are seeking their help from the time that the BOG approves the appeal of the "One Phone Call" policy
At the conclusion of The Hearing, the BOG will submit their vote to the "2017 GM Game Infraction Thread" with their final decision.
It will be asked that the GM, should they be dismissed, will leave immediately following the decision to dismiss them from the GM Game.
GM Game Infraction System
For the GM Game, the Board of Governors (BOG), have rules in place for each section of the game. All GM's (including BOG) must follow these rules. A misunderstanding of any rules in place is acceptable and can always be cleared up by a BOG member. It is required by all GM's to read these rules and familiarize themselves with the rules put in place. However, multiple issues and a lack of showing that you are capable of following rules will result in an infraction.
Infraction Levels:
1.) Posted Warning on GM team's thread from a BOG member. After 15 days of good behavior, level 1 infractions are cleared.
2.) 24 roster freeze/ cool down period where the offending GM is not allowed to make trades, trade offers, or free agency bids. The offending GM is essentially isolated from the game for a full day, with the purpose being to reflect upon their actions and change their ways. This doesn't hurt the team for future GMs and keeps the game-wide disruption to a smaller scale instead of draft pick loss. After the cool-down period, the Level one infraction remains for 15 days.
3.) Demotion to an AGM position. Can be promoted back to GM if good behavior over a long period of time (at discretion of BOG) is shown.
4.) Removal from the GM Game
Infractions will result from any of the following below:
1.) Minor sarcastic comments with the intent to hurt other GM's
2.) Minor harassment towards another GM; Example: (this trade gives me AIDs.)
3.) Language towards another GM; Example: (were your feelings hurt snowflake?)
4.) General rudeness towards another GM (under the discretion of the BOGs)
