Holl is absolute garbage in playoffs. Anyone is an upgrade. Then I add jeannot who is tough and built for playoff hockey without giving up any roster players. Our bottom 6 is awful right now. Easily better

Except Holl is better than Hammonic and Jeanott was awful in the playoffs for Nashville. How can he be built for the playoffs and be so terrible there? Like he got filled in hard, couldnt score or generate anything. Just an utter crap show.

And no, Metrics arnt everything with Jeannot, results matter too and he stunk up to high heaven in the playoffs and has been terrible this entire season. -Why would Toronto do this? Hamonic at $1.5M is still much less valuable than Holl at $2M - and you're throwing in a decent prospect and a pick for that downgrade? Hamonic is a depth guy - if you want one of those, just throw a 5th rounder at Arizona for Troy Stecher, keep Holl as a perfectly acceptable RD3, and call it a day. This is terrible value for the Leafs, they're giving up way too many assets for a guy that doesn't necessarily make them better.

-Jeannot has 5 goals and 13 points in 48 GP. He scored 24 goals last year shooting 20% - so while he's been unlucky this year, sure, I can't see a world where you can expect him to get back to that level. He's probably a 10-15 goal guy when all's said and done. If you want a big smash boy to throw hits, there are plenty out there that are going to be less expensive than a 1st round pick and one of your top 5 prospects. This is just too strong a payment for a 3rd liner.
