No he's not. Both of them are ~40 point per 82 middle six (tendency towards third line) players. Greenway having a down year doesn't change that.

If you want to add Benning I'd prefer more picks. Benning is on an incredible contract with 3 years AFTER this at 1.25 AAV as a middle pairing shutdown pairing. Him and Vlasic have I believe the 7th (?) best xGA rating among D-pairs. It would take a pretty big return to convince the Sharks to part ways with him.

I think they'd want a top goaltending prospect. The Sharks have a ton of goalies in their system but none that have super high ceilings. Leinonen doesn't have the greatest numbers from what I can see

Sabres are trading a 40 goals scorer in division to a team that's chasing them for a player who hasn't broken 20 points in a season and is currently on IR. Doesn't make sense for Buffalo either. Sabres have younger forward prospects that could beat him in development, even after all of those trades

He's 19 playing in Liiga and improving season over season

Who is the 40 goal scorer? How about Josh Bailey instead? A 70+ point player with playoff experience? He's actually scored 70+ points in a season too.
