Personally I prefer Kulich, but I think I'd be pretty happy with this return

Seattle needs Borgen far more than they need Apslund or Portillo, so I don't think they'd consider that trade. I could see the Kraken trading a mid-round pick for Portillo though if they are confident they can sign him.

What do you see as an appropriate return for Borgen? I think a lot of Sabres fans were sad when he left because he was pretty much exactly what they needed, and I've always been and a fan and think he would go well with Power or as a defensive minded 3rd pairing option.

Seattle's a team on the rise and looking to win. I think the only way Borgen departs via trade is in a package for an upgrade at RD, or to acquire a better player at a position of need and Seattle has a RD replacement lined up.
