Looks good to me…why not try Gaut’s speed across from Kreider. And I’m sure Kreider doesn’t like a “demotion”….but he’ll still get plenty of run, and still on PP1.
Problem is:
Gallant’s refusal to give guys like Krav and Gaut a chance to play up. What’s so maddening here is that the guys he does trust, he trusts blindly. Trouba and Goodrow are on the ice time and again either blowing an assignment or lofting an I’ll advised pass…either of which leads to massive pressure in the D zone and/or a goal against. If Gallant showed 1/2 the faith in the young guys that he unconditionally gives to his “war horses”, not only would certain questions about this team be solved going forward (for good or bad)- but at least a few young guys would be developing better. See what a little faith BUF coach had in T. Thompson resulted in?
