Description

Just pondering some thoughts. People think that for some reason the #2 pick doesn't matter to Philly and that couldn't be further from the truth - it definitely does. There is no way we can move the pick unless an offer completely blows us away. Some of these deals (or most) might be unfair, but IMO it's the only way the Flyers could pass up Nico/Nolan.

***NOTE***

I know all these aren't fair, but I want to see people offer adjustments instead of just saying "unrealistic." I'm willing to actually discuss this if you have an offer I haven't thought about.

interesting. I would personally, but that is me. What makes you say no? I think Nylander is better than Marner but it's all opinion and I'm not a hired scout nor do i watch enough TOR to truly know.

I think these are all pretty realistic except for Florida, Arizona, and Vancouver. Overall, it's pretty good i think.

Yeah the FLA/ARZ ones are definitely a stretch. i am just a really big fan of Barkov and Keller so I figured I'd try something. In those deals I'm assuming we come away with Keller/Tippett and Barkov/Tolvanen or Kostin.

VAN one seemed pretty realistic to me since it's basically swapping LHD for RHD and giving VAN the pick they wanted so bad. In that scenario we come away with Glass/Stecher which isn't bad.

Hmm. That's interesting. Maybe so, but I think Nylander will be a better player than any of them. I did add more than I wanted to because I didn't want TOR fans to spam the post freaking out haha. Did you talk to Hexy yet about getting Hartman yet lol?

I agree with not trading the 2nd for Nylander straight up. I really like Nylander but honestly, I think Patrick or Hischer have pretty similar projections as him and they're both centres which is more valuable. I definitely look at getting Nylander if any of the rumours are true that he could be on the block to get a defenseman but not straight for the 2nd overall.
