Deal also makes no sense for the Leafs as there is no reason for them to blow up their defensive core. Also a bad move to acquire Horvat as a winger. He is a centre, and currently sits 1st in faceoffs taken this season, 2nd in faceoffs won, and top 10 in faceoff percentage.

Any trade offer should have both sides looking at why to do it. In this case not done.
