Description
Getting both Bo and Chychurn is very unlikely, given the bruin's tight cap space, as well as the fact that someone likely overpays on both. I created the offensive lines shown below with the goal of balancing the offense out while keeping Krejci happy (keeping him with Pasta) and Bo happy sticking him with a former MVP and a very solid middle 6er, while also giving him first unit PP time. In this scenario each line gets roughly equal playing time with the 4th line sadly getting the short end of the stick.

NOTE: Horvat signs a 8.75x8, Pasta signs an 11.5x8

Idk how easy it would be for Boston to get both Horvat and Chychrun. Wouldn't be suprised if both teams wanted Lysell in the trade. I feel like if Boston made one of those trades, they would be outbidded in the other. I think that Horvat trade is decent, but Arizona declines that trade. Smith has very little value especially for ARI, and Lohrei and Keyser are decent, but probably not that top prospect the yotes are looking for, and the 1st is gonna be later in the round.

You offered less for Chychrun than Boston traded to Anaheim for Lindholm. Plus you are asking for multiple years of retention. Boston literally does not have the pieces required to acquire both players. Also Reilly would hold negative value in that trade, especially to Vancouver and Grzelcyk doesn't hold much value for them either. Both teams likely decline and trade them for better value and returns that better fit their needs.

I did before I wrote that. Your description doesn't change the fact that neither team likely consider those trades.

Boston offered better than that last year at the deadline for Chychrun and was turned down. Joke of an offer considering what the asking price is and what they have turned down. Would likely cost 1st/Lysell/Lohrei for Chychrun alone.

Factoring what you signed Pasta and Bo for along with 4.5m in bonus overages, you have roughly 9m left with 11 roster spots to fill next season. Including resigning Zacha/Swayman/Frederic/others. In other words you can’t do it.

Pure wishful thinking and poorly thought out.

Typical fan logic of “i only want big names without any thought of ramifications or reality” as opposed to getting useful pieces that fit at reasonable cost.

Lol, i did.

Not sure what his implication was. Nothing there justifies this other than he has a basic understanding it’s a wet dream.

Yeah.

Like one guy said. You’ll get one of those players, maybe, for that horvat proposal as it has higher assets but I think it could get beat out by other teams if those teams want to
Pay the price tag. I really want chychrun on LA as I do think it’ll push them closer to being actual cup contenders not just playoff contenders. Still need to figure out the goaltending. I don’t think Copleys play is sustainable but who knows.

Also what was the BOS offer to ARI?

1st/Lysell were the 2 main pieces. Rumor has it a 3rd and young d man were other 2 pieces. Someone who covers the team tweeted about it last deadline. They were not sure about the final 2 pieces. Assumption was 3rd/Zboril.

They wanted Zona to take Moore too though.

should have wrote in description but I agree getting both would tie up boston's cap and likely kill all immediate contention after this year, but having Chuchuryn,Horvat,Mcavoy, Pasta, Debrusk, Lindholm,Swayman as a long term core after a retool is something that extends the long term window of the team. Arizona's price for Chychurn is insane, and clearly an overpayment. I state in the description that some other team likely overpays for both of these players, but these trades are an optimistic outlook where both players market value goes back to normal. We both know Chuchuryn is not worth Lohrei,Lysell and a first, and gms around the league, including Arizona know that as well and likely fit their offers accordingly. It is up to Arizona to either move Chuchyrn for a fair deal or hold on to him for 3 years and let him walk.

the description states that these trades are made if no one is severely overpaying for each of these players, historically speaking these trades are around market value considering in Chuchuryns case he is walking before Arizona is a contender and in Horvat's case he is gone by the start of next season.

Haggerty is not a reliable source, from what I heard Boston's offer to Arizona was similar to their offer for Lindholm. When ANA agreed Boston pulled out of talks w/ Arizona.

by your logic getting Chuchyrn to LA is going to cost you Byfield, Clarke, and a 2023 first

I said it could get beat out.

So no, your logic with that LA trade is not reasonable at all.

No team is giving up their top 2 prospects plus 23 1st for chychrun. You know this.

I agree I apologize as I misquoted you- someone stated that the bruins would need to trade Lysell, Lohrei, and a 23 first for Chuchuryn, just realized it was not you. I agree that Chychurn likely helps LA become a true contender assuming Copley keeps up his good form.
