Pettersson has 12 assists on the PP. Mangiapane has 1. Also Pettersson provides significant value outside of his goal scoring ability. Mangiapane is pretty much paid to forecheck, backcheck and score. He isn’t doing the most important part of that rn.

Players have bad years. Mangiapane has had a bad 30 games this season. Saying he has a worse contract than Bailey is like saying Pettersson has a worse contract than Brendan Gallagher after his slow start last season...
