It’s not like their defense has been fantastic in transition tbh.

the whole team is terrible in their own end except pelech, better to have someone who’s really good at one thing than guys who aren’t good at either lol

thats why id rather call up cholowski, Bolduc doesn't have any elite skills and hes at the age where hell get exposed.

Cholowski was absolutely brutal whenever I saw him play, but he also has no track record of success to speak of. With Milano you knew he was productive with Zegras last year in Anaheim, so his performance in camp was less important imo. Also I didn’t c Calgary’s camp, and for all IK his poor performance had more to do with Sutter than Milano himself.

Cholowski does have a decent track record. He can move the puck and can’t be any worse defensively in the NHL than bolduc.

Salo was one of the best two way D in the AHL and he has struggled in the NHL. Bolduc would get exposed

With Pelech out I’m starting to reconsider my opinion on Chychrun. May be time to make a move tbh.

chychrun is not a short term solution for a pelech injury. he’s going to be exceedingly expensive imo, not worth it

He’s locked in at a reasonable price for the next three seasons including this year. And how much more is he really going to get compared to Lindholm or Weegar? Imo it seems like it may be worth it.

the isles are not contenders, chychrun won't move the needle. The isles need to sell or go for a guy like Meier. Thats it. Horvat, Kane, chychryn make no sense

if they are out of a playoff spot they need to sell.

they need to at the very least sell mayfield + varlamov + maybe parise at the deadline. they don’t need to tear the full team down right now but they have to make some moves
