He's a transition Dman who is an above average skater. Doubt Buffalo would want to give up another 2nd for a 29 yr dman with one left after this year. But definitely understand the size issue with him.

They can. His value is probably a 2nd. The logic of it was offering a younger bottom pair dman with a 3rd to save the 2nd, since one 2nd will already be going to Nashville. This whole trade was about Saros. I think the Sabres could use Edmundson in case of Samuelsson goes down again. So I just put both trades together rather then 2 separate ones.
