The Kraken have already waived Kuhlman as a corresponding move to claiming Tolvanen, there's no need to trade anyone, especially Sprong who has been performing so well and has really found a home with Seattle.

If you're going to give Tolvanen a shot, it's on the third line and your team does have pretty good depth, but imo Sprong and Donato don't belong on the fourth line. If Tolvanen fits, he replaces one of them. If he doesn't, he goes back on waivers.

I agree that Sprong and Donato are deserving of greater roles, but they are key parts of what makes Seattle successful. The current Kraken compensate for their lack of top-end star power by building overqualified depth lines, meaning they consistently get production from all four lines every game. If Tolvanen supplants anyone, I think it will be Donato; Sprong is younger, has RFA status, and is a right handed shot, and his improvement defensively is the main reason he's now locked into the lineup. I don't think adding Tolvanen changes Sprong's standing with the team. Even if Tolvanen establishes himself, the Kraken can keep all of him, Donato, and Sprong and rotate depth forwards, they don't necessarily have to make a trade.
