This back end is pretty, pretty, pretty, bad.

Liljegren is top pair quality today, and Sandin has proven he's ready for the top 4. May not have followed the Leafs much lately but they've been playing 20mins+ with the injuries to Rielly, Brodie for a long time but he's back now, and Muzzin. They've been unreal, and are big reasons why the Leafs are on this high level run. 7 points in last 10 games for Sandin while being good enough defensively against top competition, and Liljegren doesn't rack up points but is incredibly reliable at 23 years old. Comfortable with him on the ice at any time in any situation.

Only real issue here is will Timmins be good enough for top 4, but he's looked decent so far. Doesn't have to be him, but figured may as well go internal. Liljegren could play top pair no problem but I spread the wealth, and him and Sandin have good chemistry.

Brodie is a rock and should be still a good contributor on the 3rd pair, keep it nice and stable for our top D prospect Niemela to come into the league. It's not that bad. Well above average imo. Maybe looks bad because I put Timmins on top pair but he's really the 4th D in this scenario.
