I'm really just messing around on my lunch break. Neither team is going anywhere and both need...something.... I realize Vlad has a no-trade and probably would not OK a trade to VAN. Cap considerations probably would not work either. Just thinking out loud, really. Binner's term and $$$ are the big issues. Who would want him at that term & $$$ with his play? Is Binner regularly hated by the VAN fans or has he done something dumb during a STL/VAN game to make him more disliked up there? Probably some salary retention (which I don't think STL does much - if ever...) would be needed. And the IR stuff with Demko... Really just a brain fart I let out...

And you guys who go on about Binnington's play may want to actually watch his game or at least the highlights. He has been one of the few Blues that can barely be blamed for this start to the season. Dude has been getting abandoned right and left by the team in front of him, and the tally for the number of goals kicked/gloved/batted/deflected past him by a teammate is now up to 14. FOURTEEN. Dude could sue for non-support and win.

I doubt the Canucks are trading for Binnington

I have watched every single Blues game. Binnington is not the biggest issue - but he has not been good. Defense is horrid overall. But...Binner's numbers have been declining every year:
2018-19 . 927 1.89
2019-20 .912 2.56
2020-21 .910 2.65
2021-22 .901 3.13
2022-23 .889 3.42

Other than last season's playoff blip - dude has been unreliable and not a starting goalie for at least 2 seasons.
