1.
SJS
  1. Cizikas, Casey
Détails additionnels:
Put up nearly identical stats last season. Isles get a slightly more offensive minded center and SJS gets defensive minded on a fair contract (virtually no cap difference for either team). Cizikas would play 3rd line minutes and PK.
2.
TOR
  1. Hamonic, Travis
Détails additionnels:
Toronto gets their Top-2 RHD without giving up any of the kids.
3.
NYI
  1. Deangelo, Anthony
Détails additionnels:
The Islanders receive an expansion exempt Top-6 in the event that Hickey/De Haan is taken. Can then protect an extra forward under 7-3-1 method
ARI
  1. Nelson, Brock
Détails additionnels:
ARI receives a solid center who would play first line minutes for the team.
4.
NYI
Rather than choosing De Haan, VGK accepts Prince/3rd to take Hickey, who is still a reliable Top-6 d-man instead.

Hertl for Cizikas isn't even at all. As underrated as Cizikas is, he's met his ceiling already. Hertl still has plenty of room to grow.

Kadri for Hamonic makes a lot of sense for both teams. Toronto fans will say Kadri is worth more, but Hamonic's contract and past production make him valuable to nearly any team in the league.

Nelson for DeAngelo? Sure we need defensive depth, and both players still have plenty of room to grow.

Sorry, Vegas takes de Haan. He's arguably the only draft option who specializes in shots blocked, and that stat is incredibly important in today's NHL.

I thought the Hertl one could be a stretch, but nonetheless wanted to post something original and different. In your opinion, what players are more reasonable for a Cizikas swap? I know my title said 1-for-1, but if we had to throw in like a 3rd I'd still do it for the right player.

Also - NYI could just trade De Haan for a couple draft picks, that way Hickey is definitely the one taken. Can replenish defense through FA I suppose.

Since the islanders have a lot of depth at the D position, would you think trading Strome for Duclair be a better option? Strome can play with his brother Dylan.

I don't think Duclair has shown enough to warrant that deal. I chose DeAngelo because he was exempt and in my mock, the Isles lose a handful of defenseman so it makes sense from our standpoint. Duclair is also expansion eligible, which I was trying to avoid by trading Brock for DeAngelo (who is not)
