Nobody wants a guy like Andreas Johnsson whom I've seen a few Devils fans offer to go with some late 5th round picks.
Logan Mailloux is worth far more as soon as Bettman clears him to play which would happen almost immediately on a deal like this.

That’s fine. At that point, no one wants your sex offender who asked not to be drafted.

Literally, not a sex offender. Dont you have another Evan Bouchard for Severson ridiculous trade offer to propose? Otherwise, you can look up the law on what constitutes a sex crime in North America.

I might! Either way, no one wants your sex offender that asked to not be drafted smile

Might be a fair offer, Believe or not, the Canucks just might be better just buying out Boesner at the end of the season (or Armia)

Why would they buy out a 25 year old on pace for 65 points a couple months after his father died?

Sending Gallagher the other way helps MTL as well long terms tho

It doesn't help Vancouver long term. Gallagher has the same cap hit as Boeser but is older, worse, and signed for longer. Of course if helps Montreal because they are fleecing the Canucks in that trade

And, Boeser somehow cant score more than 29 goals in a season despite playing with Petey whereas Ilya Mikheyev (the awful one-trick pony many here described over the Summer) is flourishing on Petey's wing. It's almost as if if you play with talent like a Petey, your stats balloon. What a novel concept. Maybe even a Josh Anderson could do well on a top line role, hmmm

He was easily our best player in the bubble season when Pettersson was injured.

Boeser has been in trade rumours for like 4 years. I won't believe it until it happens

Cost per goal this season
Boeser 1.66M per goal this season. Plays with Petey.

Anderson 0.78M per goal. Plays on the bottom 6.

Boeser has mostly been playing with struggling Garland and AHL callup Sheldon Dries. Pettersson has been playing with Kuzmenko and Mikheyev for pretty much the entire season. They have rarely played together

Boeser is basically Mike Hoffman. A complementary top 9 winger and PP specialist that required favorable deployment and 1st unit ice time to pop 20 goals in his prime.
You're probably looking at a 2nd and a cheaper expiring contract under the best circumstances. Market is simply too weak right now.

Montreal shouldn't be interested in Boeser. They want players who can create on the PP, especially on defense and the 2nd unit. Boeser isn't worth his price tag at the point or on the 2nd unit.
They have enough complementary wingers. They need a driving force on a 2nd/3rd line for more depth production. Can't have Suzuki and Caufield providing 80% of the offense when they are ready to compete.
Shedding Dadonov and Drouin in the same year as acquiring Boeser, would be 2 steps forward and 1 step back. There are better ways to move forward that don't involve also moving backward, and no time pressure to make such a move.

Boeser is 25 years old and is still in his prime years… he’s been a consistent 20+ goal, 30 goal pace scorer even on a bad Canucks team

Its always what Boeser could be and not what he is when i hear Canucks fans that make excuses for him. Even one person compared him to that monster Tage Thompson because they are the same age. Logical fallacy after logical fallacy.

He makes 6.65M to score goals at an elite level and he's never done that which makes his value low. This isnt rocket science.
