Question, why do you think you can command a ransom from Canucks for Kefoot who they do not need and then way under pay for Meier with retention?

Same can be asked when they try to dump Meyers to us and expect us to pay a third to take on his $6M contract for 2 years

A Canucks team that is going to miss the playoffs trades a valuable pick for a rental because????

Some non-playoff team will take Kerfoot before the trade deadline for a late pick so they can flip him for a 3rd or possible a 2nd.

If kerfoot for a high 2nd was on the table Dubas would have made that deal already

When is the last time an NHL team did that? It isn't logical. Why would Kerfoot's trade value increase going to a worse team? Doesn't make too much sense as he will be playing with worse players, therefore he will likely be producing at a worse rate. Did you even bother thinking of the logic behind your claim?

Obviously, my suggestion is over your head. Teams with cap room can have him for a 5th rounder or less right now. His value is worth more than that, but teams don't have cap space that are contenders, not like the canucks. He is worth a 3rd or 2nd at the deadline when teams need someone.
