Well it's a good thing one of us actually looks stuff up. In the last 41 games of the season Thompson had 24 goals and 15 assists for 39 points.

Matthews had 35 goals and 25 assist in his teams last 41 games. And he hilarious thing is he didn't even play in all of them. Matthews had almost as many goals as Thompson had points.

So do you want to walk this back? Or will we circle back in a month when Matthews is once again in the thick of the Rocket race after a 15 game stretch where he scores 20 or something else ridiculous.

I'm not going to dispute that Matthews is the more accomplished player. He most definitely is.

I'm simply stating that Tage has outperformed Matthews this season. And he has outperformed him the past 41 games as well. And he's doing it while making $1.4mm compared to Matthews' $11.64mm.

Matthews is a great player. No doubt about it. Tage is making 12% of what Matthews makes and has outperformed him dating back 41 games.
