No I don't think so, that draft trade he made with Arizona was terrible for SJ and that Burns trade sucked too then taking the cap savings from retaining on Burns to sign a bunch of meh depth was just the 💩 icing on the crap cake that was SJ's offseason.

I don't like them either but I think still too soon to judge. We have to wait years to really see how the 1st vs 2nds picks swap pans out, his hands were tied with Burns requesting the trade, and there were some really good pieces of those depth signings, like Sturm. Not sure whether spending that cap space on a single players that were available at the time would have been better risk-wise. He has to play out a lot of what Doug Wilson has done unfortunately
