Description

Panthers can plug Duclair back into the lineup as soon as he's back and use Lundell or Reinhart as 2C. Hunt is tearing it up in the AHL and improves the Panthers LD. Avs get Bennett as their 2C for the next few years while Newhook continues to mature. Assume Avs will accrue enough cap space by the time everyone is off IR for this to work. At that price he wouldn't be the worst option for the Avs. Doubtful FLA doesn't get better offers though, even with their cap situation.

He is not. Everyone is just freaking out cause when duclair comes back in over a month they’ll be 3 million over the cap. But they can just work a little magic and trade hornqvist in some type of 3 way trade to get him to a contender

But wouldn’t he have to waive for a trade to a third team before going to a contender? And frankly, I don’t see Hornqvist waiving for Arizona, Chicago, Anaheim, or Buffalo. Since I don’t think there is a contender that can afford him or is even willing to take his full hit.
