He and Puljujarvi are the same.

For so many years Habs/Canes and Oilers fans have been hyping them up as huge breakout stars based on decent underlying numbers, but neither can't put it together. Both have 3 points while their linemates have 15+

Puljujarvi plays a FAR less valuable position, is older, and hasn't proven he can be clutch in the playoffs. Kotkaniemi's underlyings are FAR better than Puljujs. KK has put it together. You're just utterly cluessles buddy. Honestly, look at any analytics site, any Canes game. Anything but base points. Put a little effort in.

Engvall isn't good defensively, he's got FAR worse offensive numbers, and plays a far less valuable position. Not to mention, Engvall is 4 years older than KK. Stop it bud. A much more genuine comparison to Kotkaniemi is young Jordan Staal. Even the cup final appearance while still on his ELC. But go off because you're clueless.

Jordan Staal at the same age wasn't on pace for 15 points while getting top 6 minutes, and his playoff performances werent due to a Covid cup and weak division realignments.

    "Weak division realignments"

Are you saying that he didn't score clutch goals against Toronto? He wasn't extremely important in getting through Vegas? Even avoiding being swept by Tampa. Stop.

One ECF run and Canes fans have become some of the most toxic and naive fans I have ever witnessed. Right up there with Isles fans and Sens fans as of this off season

Look at his shooting percentage lmao in those playoffs. His only important NHL moments were the results of puck luck.

Carolina is one of the only few teams to continue to make money through the pandemic. Canada is why the players pay escrow.

I watched that entire cup run. He scored a big one against Toronto. He had one against Vegas (wasn't that important though) and was literally a healthy scratch for the final two games against Tampa. He didn't even play in game 4 (where they avoided the sweep). He had nothing to do with the Finals.

I was arguing that with Ottawa fans yesterday and acted innocent when I told them they were overhyping their unproven team.

Ahhh, lets ignore the season with your Montreal Canadiens then yeah? Just because that is convenient! Stupid little human being.

He had 8 points in 19 games and was a scratch in the finals.

5 goals 8 points that run. Despite being healthy scratched against Toronto AND Tampa because Ducharme was an idiot. You really telling me that isn't a big playoff performance? Is this just because your organization got embarrassed by a "smaller market"? That why this hatred for KK exists? Grow up

-Yeah but he's done some stuff on the ice that justifies Svechnikov doing well.

    -Uhmm what stuff exactly?

-Plenty. Watch Canes games. He's EXCELLENT. Educate yourself.

Embarrassed? The poverty franchise offersheeted a mediocre player three times its worth are stucked with an awful deal as a result lol. They tried to embarrass montreal but they failed miserably. It may have costed them a Cup run if they didnt use those picks and $6M so foolishly.
