It would be nice for them to move Broissoit, as he's played his way out of a job, but Howden an a pick alone is a deal that I would take on an expiring JVR

To improve 3rd line and net front presence on powerplay wouldn’t hurt either.
This would be a deadline move. Contenders make deadline moves all the time.
A late second is not an overpay for dumping Brossoit and adding JVR retained. Howden is a lateral move to make the cap work.

But they have no scoring issues up and down the lineup.

Figure some team will trade for JVR at TDL. Not sure who it would be, and usually a roster player is not taken on the playoff team that is making a trade.

I'm sure they'll look to bolster things at the deadline and JVR might be a good fit, but they don't need to give up that much. I get taking Broissoit helps them, but still too much.

I know that teams add at the deadline. But i just wouldnt trade Howden for JVR. Add JVR maybe, but no sense in moving out a player who fits.

hahah explain it how. Teams that are built well. They have specific roles and everyone executes them. Vegas is a great example of that. Their top 6 is lethal and their bottom 6 can play well defensively, is chippy, and can chip in here or there. There top 4 dmen are minute munchers and are all pretty high end blueliners. bottom pair is solid and gets their job done when they play.

if the strategy is simply getting as many players as you can who can score, good luck. most people know how that ends up. chemistry, roles, everyone pulling their weight. thats what i mean by "cOHeSiAN"
