A good thought on the trade. What I think the reason the Leafs say no is not wanting Mantha's 5.7m cap this year and next. Like the idea of getting rid of Marner's 11m cap hit, but don't know if the 5.3m difference in cap is worth for the Leafs. But understand why Mantha has be traded, just to make the cap work.

The value is there but not smart by the Caps. They can use that same package to go get 2 really good pieces. Would rather do that than just get 1 great piece.

Always potential to get a great piece too in Kane.

I would be all in on this deal.
