Two things:

1. If we wanted Sam Lafferty in the top 6, we would promote Barclay Goodrow or Sammy Blais to the 1st line again, but that's never worked. We don't need sandpaper at all. Give Kreider some time to find his form again, and if he doesn't, move up Chytil who is playing too good not to be in the top 6 right now.

2. Why would we panic-trade Jones after 5 GAMES? what's the point of that? you did see what happened to Lundkvist right? Please just give him time... Caleb Jones isn't even much of an upgrade if you look at his underlying numbers, I know he has some points but that doesn't tell you the whole story


PS: Halak also can't be sent down, he has an NMC.

I can't really argue with your points. But If I would try I would say that 'Goodrow is too slow for top 6 line minutes, and Blais is still finding himself form last years injury.'
This is what I would have tried, basically. Not saying I am right or know everything.

I seen some games when Lafferty is flying through guys. I would like to see him do the same in NYR uniform.
