I would assume they get the extension with O’Reilly done before seasons end. Tarasenko is probably gone at free agency as he has voiced his frustrations before, although it seems to be resolved now. And I think they either keep Barbashev or trade him at the deadline.

Setting aside that it's not a need and that they're not going to chip away at next year's cap space for a bit player, the dude hasn't played yet this season because of a concussion issue that is going on for a long time. PLUS he's not waivers exempt, so they could just lose him in the shuffle when he finally returns anyway. So literally nothing about that trade would suit the Blues.
