Here is my issue. I get the frustration, but the team needs to stop putting on Band-Aids. You don't buy Dermott for a third and sell 18 games later for a fourth.
Canucks traded a third for Dickenson and one year later traded a second with him for a scrub to save 1.3 mil. Dickenson has as many goals and assists in 4 games as our entire fourth line has in 7 games.
I would suggest riding out the year with the D of Stillman Burroughs Schenn Juulsen Brisebois and happily accepting that top three draft pick next year who would definitely help the team down the road. I would also sell off assets like Boeser Horvat and draft your best RHD . Canucks should have no less than three first round picks next year.
This is a fragile team. If it was just a short span of bad luck sure ride it out but this is year after year so it is time to tear down and rebuild in my opinion. The next two to three years Canucks should be collecting draft picks.
