Leafs easily decline, we're not taking two cap dumps from the Habs without a good prospect and a first round pick. No one is taking those contracts off your hands for free, Habs will need to pay up. Also if Muzzin is on LTIR, why are the Leafs adding a first? You do know we can just keep him on LTIR ourselves right?

Yeah somehow i don't see jake Muzzin waiving for one of the worst teams in all of hockey.

Think TB would be more interested in Edmundson. Unless something goes drastically wrong injury wise up front, but of all the fowards (on Montreal) I think Dadonov would be TB's most likely target. Forget Drouin or Hoffman.

Hextall isn't paying to move a contract, especially for a guy he just signed in free agency a year ago.

Muzzin wouldn't waive his NTC for Montreal this year. His full NT turns to a 10 team No trade on July 1st. Savard is the type of D that the Leafs could benefit from right now. Big, Defensive, Physical RD. Problem is he isn't very mobile but they make up for that in the other dmen they have.

Monahan half retained starts to have value, especially if he continues on the path he has been to start the season. Remove Muzzin from this trade since he won't waive. I don't think this is ludacris by any means in terms of value.

I know other Leaf fans will attack you but I think this would be quite close in terms of a possible trade.

Caps don't need Edmundson, Fehervary and Orlov won't be going anywhere and Gustafsson has started the year quite well on the 3rd pair, so the Caps would pass on this. Primary concern right now is not defense, but likely offense instead with Brown now out long term.
