Anyone know why Carl Dahlstrom is on SOIR instead of LTIR? Is he not out 6 months? Why not save the extra 70000 or whatever by putting him on LTIR? Am I missing something?

I believe it had something to do with the starting cap hit for the Leafs, but I'm not entirely sure what it exactly was. I think someone from the Athletic explained it but I'd have to check.

Like are you saying it was just because they wanted to only have $4 in cap space? Lol
