Agree with you. Why do some many Leaf fanatics ignore a proper lineup.....or Muzzin's NTC or even Kerfoot's M NTC?

This lineup looks right to me. When injuries happen or a player is to sick to play. They simply bring a player up using emergency call up or finally make a trade. Running a 20 man roster is nothing new, especially for Toronto.

So sorry for being a Leafs fanatic who ignores a proper lineup. Totally absurd of me to suggest they might initially go with a 20 man roster to get to cap compliance. I mean, I know that's what they actually are doing, as well as Tampa Bay, Florida, Boston, and Philadelphia, but still, I must be a fanatic for even thinking of such a thing.

It's long term not possible a 20 man lineup. And it's not like Liljgren or some others are on LTIR permanently, just so fanatics can make cap compliant 20 man roster.

I agree with you actually. Especially on defence - even if they're not injured per se there's no way they want Muzzin and Gio playing the full 82 games, you need at least 7 defensemen. If no one else goes on LTIR between now and then, I'm curious what they plan to do when Lilly is healthy.

Yeah, I been wondering for months what the plan is.(if there is one). I wasn't in favour of the Jarnkrok signing.....his assists in 17 games with Calgary sure doesn't like he's going to "have it" for four more years.
For his 2.1m, two and even close to three bottom enders have been in the lineup. And Murray....OK Leafs got rid of 3.8m Mrzarek only to trade for 4.7m Murray. Surely there was better value out there.
