Deadline move

Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
I know we are pretty set at D but unless we are extending Severson(which i won't hate) its a option worth considering to lock down the next few years. I know NJ has a plethora of D prospects. But who knows if they will b ready in the next year to put in top minutes at the NHL level.

laugh laugh Not even in the ballpark for Jakob Chychrun.

2 UFA's Foote and a 1st round pick that's 3 drafts away isn't getting you Jakob Chychrun. No freaking way Armstrong accepts this worthless offer.

It's not enough, but in the ballpark
Latest info is a 1st and a prospect
If the '23 1st was top protected and an add if rolled to '24 it would surely fit the bill. Severson (top 4 d man in AZ gor sure) is either with an extension in place or to flip at deafline for a first and a piece. Foote is not the right prospect, but it won't be a Holtz, Mercer or Sharangovich.
I think talking to Vegas about Hague might be the better option. Thet need help with cap give them similar player to cough Nic up

Arizona would have no interest in either Severson or Tatar, Yes they can get picks for them at the trade deadline that's about it. Foote would hold no value to them what so ever. The 1st round pick would at least need to be a 2024 a 2025 isn't going to cut muster with Armstrong.

Severson is worth 1st+ at deadline. Foote is worth a good amount too.

I'd say right value, not right pieces for AZ.

I'm talking about the OP's trade deal, it's just not what Arizona is asking for. They're not seeking 2 UFA's a late 1st that's 3 drafts away. Armstrong would laugh his head off at this trade offer.

Kindly must disagree, unless a team is willing to give up multiple top picks. which i don't think will be the case because you need a desperate team for a top D man. Obvi the Rotes won't do this unless they either know they can sign Sevo long term or are looking to take the 4.5 mil off the books by the end of the year. You have a good point they will probably want a 24 1st rounder instead. Id prefer NJ to hold onto that because i don't see the rebuilding ending as soon as others do. But won't be mad maybe even a 3rd or 2nd in 23 since its a deep draft. Not saying this is the best return AZ can get because there will be better offers and some team will get fleeced. But whoever it is will need to give up a prospect maybe NJ throws in a D prospect too, not exactly a AZ fan so idk what there needs are.

The interesting thing about your pkg of assets to AZ gets you 3 yrs of JC. He's been dinged up a bunch and I just wonder if moving severson ourselves for a 1st + is not a better move? If it goes the way you think (I'll disagree about still building) that is better than giving up pcs. The other part is Nemec full t8.e next yr and Hughes most likely starting after Mich is done this yr changes the immediate need.
Does Bahl or Okhotiuk get and keep the bottom spot on the left? Dies either shine enough to replace Graves. All TBD

I agree but i don't think graves is sticking around. They made the right choice in giving JS the money this offseason. JC isn't a need but an extra D insurance that if we can get for an expiring contact would be nice.
