Nope, Valimaki isn't entitled. Yes he was disappointed about getting sent back to the minors after getting injured twice and missing an entire year due to surgery after the second injury. He said he found the situation silly but he didn't refuse to report to the minors and run back home when he didn't make the NHL roster.

A straight up trade maybe, more likely edmonton would need to retain salary.
