Of all of the rosters on CapFriendly for the season, this is certainly one of them.

Decent enough start, aside from the attempt to shoehorn in Neal and Rask. I suggest dropping those guys and re-evaluating.

How I see it they have maybe one more good year left in them. Have KJ, Kirill, Yegor grow up in the AHL and have them put up big numbers. Do what the Red Wings did when they were on top of the league. Next year the cap will go up, plus Nyquist big cap hit will be off the books then bring up then guys next year and maybe even make another big slapsh next summer.

Neal's been cooked for at least two years. He does not have one more good year in him. I'd rather have Danforth 10/10 times. As for Rask, we still have four superior centers not including KJ, so what does he bring? Even if they sign him post-PTO, it'll be to an AHL deal.

Rask would be the only guy with a chance to earn a PTO, I'd say.. but it will be an NHL/AHL deal for sure, with him starting in Cleveland.
