Myers would not be a good partner for rookie Rathbone. Rather have Poolman or Schenn with him

I would line up Pod-Petey-Boeser (forechecker, playmaker, shooter); Kuzmenko-Horvat-Mikey (playmaker, shooter, forechecker); Pearson/Hoglander-Miller-Garland (forechecker, shooter, playmaker) -- I think all three groups have speed, heaviness and defensive awareness as well

And yet in the 2 seasons that Rathbone has played games in the NHL his best partner was Myers by a long way. Those two have very good proven chemistry

you really cant go wrong with any combination of wingers as long as Petey, Mill and Horv are at centre. Weakest option would probably be something like Kuz/Pod/Mik-Horvat-Hog, but even that's a good line. Also Pearson can pretty much slot in on any line. The hughes on the right experiment is only gonna work if Dermott or Rathbone can play those 2nd pair minutes. Worst case scenario the D lines are the same as last year, which isn't terrible. I hope Rathbone comes in hard this season, but I don't really expect him to be on the 2nd pair.

Rathbone has like 17 NHL games. Not a huge sample size.
