Nashville doesn't trade Josi ever and don't want the always injured Edler.

Edler would really help you. With fewer minutes he'd probably have fewer injuries. But ya, no way Josi gets moved. He's the reason they moved Weber.

If Josi were to ever, ever be moved, it wouldn't be to Detroit. Detroit would have to give up pick 9, their firsts for the next two years, Larkin and Svechnikov. At that point, Nashville might think about it but still probably say no. It doesn't matter how much we say that Josi is underrated, he still is. The dude is a beast, and nobody gives him enough credit for it.

I think if there was any year where a team would be able to snag Josi from the Preds at a decent price it's definitely this year with the expansion draft looming. I doubt the Preds will protect Josi, Subban, Ekholm and Ellis to expose a young forward or two on their roster. This summer paves the way for a trade to occur that will give them some cap flexibility. You guys got to admit though, Josi would be just what the Wings need.
