Huge RD prospect ARZ traded up to get with the Kassian deal
He's 6'7 and skates like Chara more then Hedman but still Pro level
He's big but also only 200lbs with a lean build that makes him no less physical
His biggest issue IMO is he isnt prepared for players to take advantage of his long reach
He had a lot of hooking calls where players saw getting by would be tough so they'd cut in towards him
While he's Reaching they skate into him forcing a hook or a holding situation and in the off chance it doesnt he drops his stick to avoid it giving them the edge.

Seen a lot of him and while his Hockey IQ is good when it comes to dealing with Penalty related situations he's a crapshoot
I think the key really is Intimidation using his size to lay out big hits so all he has to do is gap forward a bit and opponents would respond to avoid hits.
Using Psychology to out think his opponents more or less.

Solid Prospect i was Fully Expecting MTL to take over Mesar given our Huge need at RD(i think ARZ was surprised too pulling the trigger on a Kassian trade for less then rumored)

Soderstrom i agree will likely be top pair over Lamoureux
Long term though Soderstrom is a 2nd pair guy and like a Jeff Petry trying to make him more will hurt his play on ice.
Mayo is a Plug , nothing more . Too good not to sign , Not good enough for any team to keep outside playing a plug to buy youth time

Timmin's career IMO is dead and we're all just delaying the time at which we declare it.
Injuries of all sorts tells me he's got an underlying health issue that wont let him play at this level
If i had to guess i'd say an early symptom of an Autoimmune disease but that's just me thinking out loud based on episodes of House lol
(no real factual value just a guess worth nothing )

Either way he's not someone you're going to invest in after a relocation or before IMO

ARZ has never had issue getting prospects , just trouble keeping and selling them.
9 trades outta 10 they're going to lose when trying to move asset's as seen with OEL who they shopped 4-5 years (2 years too long IMO)
In the end they waited and got burned having to throw in Garland just to get a 1st ,2nd and a 7th rounder thats after taking 12m in cap dumps with Eriksson,Beagel and Rousel

Now that said the exact same situation in Houston and i doubt they have half as much trouble.
Houston is a Sports Market thats top 3 regardless of the sport its involved in 9/10
Hockey has grown down there fast too in Dallas so having competing teams within the state will help Houston a lot.

Arizona is just a bad hockey market and other NHL teams i think feel guilty sending good players there so its always a last resort for cap dump deals or hardcases.
I think the bar wouldnt be so low in Houston as they'd look at hockey as more then just a way to get out of the heat for 3-4 hours lol
If they got relocated tomorrow i bet they could get 25-50% more for Chychrun by proxy
xercuses a aimé ceci.
