Nope, Now knowing that Price season is over already MTL wont move out Allen or Montembault so that close every possibility trade. the only way i see MTL trading Allen is if they get another goaltender for low price before, with the trade or shortly after.

While mtl "don't care" to win, there still way to go, montembeault is not a goalkeeper that can do more then 25 to 30 game season and from what we see of Primeau he's not NHL ready yet. Maybe another half year in Laval and after that few game here and there to help him that could work but we need to take in consideration that he will probably stay another year in Laval. With a goalie you don't rush him because look what happen with Carter Hart. He was supposed to be the next Carey Price and now he's start to struggle a bit because of all the pressure he's getting.

Yes there still some goaltender available in free agency but they are also free to pick to any team. Also I don't see any that could really do something here. There no one available to play between 30 to 45 game at best they are third place goaltender or AHL starter.

Two parts, first Kent Hughes announced he wants a trio of Allen - Montembeault - Primeau for next year.

Second, if Allen was to be traded, Kent Hughes would be requesting a 1st round pick and a 5th round pick from VGK.
