With it being ltir space, does it accumulate or does it just stay as 2.4 in space the entire season?

In general VGK can spend up to 12.8 mill over the cap (Nolan + Weber + Lehners LTIR hits)

So honestly I wouldnt be surprised if they just spend that much upgrading their team with some rentals here and there

I too think Stastny might do a comeback tbh. Would be fun to see him again!

But i like this all in all. Habs fans are trying to throw Jake Allen at us like it's gonna solve anything, and Dallas fans are trying to basically give us Khudobin for free. I hope neither happens and that we acquire a goalie at the deadline if Thompson and Brossoit don't work out. For now they should look at pieces to strengthen our depth or possibly a 2nd line winger.

Right. They don't accrue any cap space but the $2.4 million here will be available to get a person. But it is a true $2.4M - not like how cap space can effectively be higher at the deadline because only a weeks are left on the season.
