I’m gonna be brutally honest here. The value in a Chychrun deal is about the ability to get rid of bad salary. Getting rid of Hamonic alone isn’t enough. Has to be Hamonic and Zaitsev in a deal. Throw in Boucher, Brannstrom, whatever you have to. But this deal is about saving money. Not Chychrun.

No one saw Karlsson falling off like that, or the sharks giving him THAT much money.
Most scouts had Norris as a solid 3C and no one saw him blossoming into a 40 goal scoring 1C (I loved him but even I didn't see this happening) and no one saw the sharks sucking bad enough to get the 3rd OA in 2020.

Still this is the very reason I want the Sharks to trade Meier this offseason. trade him at his high point get the pieces we need for the future and look for a real sustainable rebound starting in 24/25

and Karlsson is 6' but he is lean.
and Norris I feel by the end of that deal it will be considered underpaid, good size and a shot and defensivly sound C are hard to come by. I see him as an all star caliber 2C or a decent 1C. and those arent cheap.
