Description
Dvorak fits with Chicago long term.
Drouin should benefit from a fresh start and being in less of a pressure cooker. Decent crop of Francophones in Calgary right now. Salaries made equal through retention. No one’s giving a 1st round pick for Weegar playing less than top pair minutes. Probably makes the most sense in Montreal now, short of RHD, and Matheson’s old D partner. There’s also the ability to get creative with Lucic and Dadonov expiring contracts.
More realistically though, Hughes just goes after Huberdeau and Weegar as UFAs after the season. I don’t see either signing in Calgary long term. Probably makes more sense for Calgary to tank and focus on developing their younger players now. But sure, hold on to them until the deadline if you really want to hoping for maybe a better return. Maybe.

Top pairing? You’re delusional.

He was on the top pair with Ekblad last season on the Panthers, JFresh just released a stat on the best transition defencemen, you have literally no idea what you're talking about and this proves it.

Also even funnier is that you made a terrible offer for him and immediately put him on your top pair LMAO

Look at ice time regular season and playoffs. Or watch him play. Either way. Not a top pairing D. Not on Florida. Not on Calgary. Not even close.
I paired him with Matheson on the Habs, his old D partner in Florida. Habs have a hole at right side D. That doesn’t make him a top pair D. Habs don’t have any top pair D right now. We will be focused on developing Guhle, Barron, and Harris.

He averaged near 20 minutes a night, and one bad playoffs against the reigning back to back champs in a series where his team scored 3 total goals doesn't make him "not a top pair dman", idk where you get any sort of stats to back up your claims, im showing you proof that hes one of the most underrated defencemen in the league and would be top pair on most teams.

"watch him play" isn't a good argument for anything, you're just plain wrong here, Weegar would be easily the best dman on your team in years (aside from Weber) if you managed to impersonate Treliving and take that garbage offer you put up.
