I haven't heard DET to be rumored on him, but I think he makes a ton of sense for DET.

too much AAV for the term... I don't want anything to do with him over 3 years at over 7m... If he wants 4 or 5 years, 6.5m, tops and anything over 5 years, hard pass

I love the idea of him on a "show me" deal like Klingberg signed in Anaheim, hell, I'd go nuts and go all the way up to 9.5 on a 1 year deal for him, because, why the hell not? We got the cap... but when you start adding term, his style and age get scary...

Pro lem with long term deal is two fold.

1. He is 30 and does not have a tra k re order to show what he did last year

2. Wings ha e 5 to 6 players to sign over the next 3 years. Larkin, Bertuzzi, Vrana Seifer and Raymond will need new deals and do you want a 30 year old or better yet a 32 or 27 or younger player moving forward
