This mock trade seems like an EA Sports NHL type trade where the cpu demands for Kyrou+Neighbours+a 1st for Tkachuk, but when the roles are reversed the trade gets rejected and the player gets a message with the other "GM" laughing in their face.

I actually think this is close to what happens after Doug gets done with all his posturing. He makes Calgary take Scandella too though. Blues then trade VT for a middle 6 player and a pick (probably conditional - 2nd which becomes 1st if VT resigns or something). Blues fans are going to cry about all the offense going out the door, but will have Thomas and Tkachuk for the next 8 years and Brady will eventually join them somewhere in that time...
