Leafs need to move a contract and this helps them get Ratcliffe and a 1st. PHI can move Kerfoot at TDL for a 2nd and 5th, so for PHI its Ratcliffe and a 1st for 2 2nds, a 4th and 5th. For TOR, its cap space and a big winger with good hands and a 1st.

Kapanen brings much needed speed at a low cost (MacEwen is redundant with Deslauries), PIT gets needed cap savings and needed grit. Downgrade definitely, but are both players more needed by the new teams - yes. Maybe PHI adds a bit, but MacEwen and the cap space are key.

JVR brings needed scoring in place of Gaudreau and is not as much of a risk and retains value to TDL, Monahan is more of a risk-but can cover Center injuries/struggles.

Close to the cap, but its a 22 skater lineup. In camp Hogberg, Zamula might push for 3LD, making Sanheim tradeable, or Brink might not be ready which means Atkinson can go to 2RW or Tippett moves up.

Wade Alison, Foerster will push in camp at forward.

The 3 acquisitions are all mid to late 20s and moveable at TDL
