Not a NJ fan so i could be flat out wrong here but I like the possibility of Tkachuk with Hughes and NJ is probably the team who makes the most sense in terms of
1. Having the pieces to trade
2. Willing to win

Now, a cap crunch might be coming but with Hughes, Hischier, Tkachuk and Bratt extended, only Nemec, Mercer and Hughes will remain. At this point I think these are the 7 core players and if necessary Hamilton/Palat will be moved.

The only thing you’re missing here is Holtz should easily be in the lineup by 23-24 hopefully solidified in the top 6 as well.. put a lottery protection on that pick and I do it if I’m the devils

Then you're not getting Tkachuk... no way he's going for a B prospect and a mid-round 1st
