Really.... Suzuki have a good contract and he's lock with MTL for the next 8 years. Caufield probably would received the same kind of deal as him and MTL will have is two best forward lock for long time.

Why would you pay that much to obtain a ayer would will able to get him for free in two years max. I prefer wait and still be low in ranking, get good pick and in two year offer him a contract and be ready to be competitive.

I wouldn’t say “good” it’s decent at best he’s played like a subpar second liner with solid defence at best but he can definitely get better

You would need to add another 1sr to dump 2 years of Hoffman.

Nick Suzuki:
First season: 0.57 ppg
Second season 0.73 ppg
Third season 0.74 ppg (Full season)

This is pretty solid stats for a young prospect, is last season he was still able to make a 0.74 ppg which is better then what he did before and it's on a full season didn't miss any game. There also room to improvement like getting a stable left wing player to go with him and Caufield, Caufield could also produce more maybe around the 0.75 ppg ratio. Is contract is under 8m that a decent deal I would say.
