Question for me would be…does Bahl make the team over Okhotiuk? I mean, just by listening to Fitzy, it sounds like Okhotiuk would be ahead of Bahl in depth chart right now (but maybe not long-term).

Bahl: “We still think he has a future…still has things to work on but confidence growing”

Okhotiuk: “Plays the game the right way….has done all the right things…has simplified game”

(Although, Okhotiuk did beat Fitzy’s kid to a pulp in the playoffs).

Wouldn't really mind these lines, think they'd be competitive in the Metro if they remained somewhat healthy.
I'm leaning against having Holtz making the team out of camp, and thus I wouldn't be so quick to trade AJ, he's quite underrated by this fanbase imo.



It's a toss-up for me, though Bahl does have 20+ games of NHL experience already, may put him a bit closer than Nik idk.
Would be very happy if either of them were viable on the 3rd pair come October.

I am just trying to read some tea leaves here.
I get the sense that Bahl probably fits into picture long-term.
But Okhotiuk is more ready/polished for what he does.

...or maybe its Walsh as he and Marino paired together some at Harvard...(just about the only place they like righties on campus)

Can't help but smile at the thought of after us Devils fans worrying so much about our lack of RHD, having two righties ending up on our third pair.
Wouldn't put it past Walsh to beat those three guys out for that last spot on the third pair tho.
