I used to think Blues would need to give up Kyrou at a minimum, but now looking at it I feel like this is plausible. Blues have considerable leverage as CGY is gonna be taking a step back, MT is close to UFA, and the Blyes are probably where he’d want to go. Might have to fork over Neighbours, but perhaps Calgary prefers Bolduc??

The only way that happens is if he declines signing with every other team in the league cause CGY certainly ain't gonna sign him to a 1 year deal and walk him to FA. They will trade him long before that and there will be a line up of teams prepared to open their wallets for him.

Blues should take that. And if they prefer neighbors over Bolduc, so be it.
