Personally I think the Canucks decline. They'd want Dobson, and he's not going anywhere.

It's likely looking like Lundqvist or Schnider, Marino, or Dobson. As the key piece coming back to us.

Unless you're adding more, I don't think they see mayfield as the key piece enough to turn the dial. Bailey is almost closer to negative value. Great PKer yes, and we need that. But that contract is a bit high. the first will project to be in the final 15 picks of the draft. Hell the Isles hope it's 32nd. I don't think enough value is on the table with just what's on the table there, it's close yes, but just a bit under what Vancouver would want (since we wanna free up some cap too this season) We would potentially lose Mayfield since Bailey still has term.

I think Canucks fans need to adjust their expectations after seeing the fiala and debrincat returns. But who knows, maybe i am wrong

Fiala returned a mid first round draft pick and a very good RHD prospect. All this deal has is an older rental d man, a cap dump a first and third. Not nearly the same quality

Signing Klingberg to a 7x6 to be our third-pairing d-man is far from a masterclass.

Ok but at the same time, Fiala and Cat are 4-5 years younger than Miller and have RFA rights, while Miller is a UFA after this season. Not to mention he is not as a good of a player as Fiala or Cat. A 1st, 2nd, and a RHD for a team that desperately needs one and can easily be extended/re-signed is a good return for someone who will likely walk in FA next year from the Nucks

Miller is definitely a better player than Fiala. Plus he plays C, so I’d say he’s likely to get a better return than Fiala. An older rental dman, cap dump, 1st and 3rd doesn’t get it done

I think the other fan bases need to adjust how low they view miller. He's OVER A PPG on a sub average Vancouver team.. He plays center. He's a MONSTER in the high pressure situations. He pks, plays the PP, plays the wing if you want. Will play 3rd line if you need him to. He's literally the perfect player..

He's more valuable than Fiala. And the Cat. Because HE was the one that made the rest of his line mates better. Cat had Kaner. Fiala played with Zucc, Kaprizov, etc~

Anyone that thinks Miller is worth less than a first, low A high B grade prospect, and a half decent roster player is daft.

Insane. RFAs who are 4-5 years younger with similar stats are worth much more. You’re going to be severely disappointed

They aren't worth more in this day and age, especially with the cap issues of late.

And a 99 point scorer, who plays center is worth more than an 80~ish point RFA winger by a mile. Miller either wont be traded or will get a lot more on return than Fiala an Cat.

we act like he's scored 99 points every year of his career, the year before he had 46 points in 53 which is still good but teams won't make this trade expecting a 99-point center there gonna do expecting a 65-70 point center. Miller will most likely get more than Fiala but not a ton more. Probs gonna be in the range of 1st round Pick, Good prospect, Decent prospect or Pick.
