Jets get a nice haul here for Dubois

I don’t hate this trade, but it wouldn’t happen. The Stars are tight against the cap and need to address holes on the blueline either with re-signing Klingberg or with a RHD in free agency. Jim Nill is also VERY conservative about trading prospects away. The Stars have a deep forward prospect pool, but giving up 3 forwards to get one back might not be ideal.

Too much quantity without any quality for Winnipeg to consider.

I'm a Stars fan & this is nowhere close to what Winnipeg should get for Dubois. Peterson has the highest value and he's a middle-6 winger AT BEST. Dallas should jump all over this deal, but there's no shot that Winnipeg is accepting this low of a return.



If Winnipeg were to actually offer this trade, you take it. You're getting a proven, top-6 forward for a 3rd line winger (Peterson), a bottom-6 forward that hasn't broken into the NHL full time yet (Dellandrea), a prospect that is a depth scoring forward AT BEST, if he even makes the NHL (Damiani), and a handful of irrelevant draft picks.

If they offer a deal that lopsided, you absolutely take it if you're Dallas and find a way to create the $6.5M (roughly) that it's going to take to sign him. Pay someone to take Faksa & Khudobin, buy out Suter, etc. There are ways to make the money needed to pay him, Robertson, Oettinger, AND still have money left over to pay Hintz next offseason.



Yep. Dallas should take this and run, Winnipeg would be dumb to offer it.
