Non starter offer for Tkachuk, not very interesting

Not even close, tkachuk is virtually untouchable. It’s gonna cost a lot more than that. That offer is lightyears away from being close to fair value

Was more about the idea of fitting him in versus true value. Was going under the assumption that they prioritized JG (don't think they should) and somebody tried to OS him. Would net you 4 1sts in that situation which is loosely what this value is. Could add around the edges if those aren't technically 4 1sts but Necas is probably worth a first and a third, two firsts & Heimo is a former 2nd rounder w/ top 4 projections.

I love Tkachuk but why not just sign JG instead and save the assets. Or just offer sheet him and give up the 4 first round picks and deal Necas/Gunler to recoup some 1st round draft capital?

Yeah def could go that route but I just figured if it came to it they’d try to negotiate a trade before another OS similar to the kk situation. This is pretty much the equivalent of 4 firsts anyways
